ChromaNik SunArmor C18

The Chromanik SunArmor is a column that can be used at a pH range of a mobile phase between 2 to 12. This is almost the same durability compared to a hybrid C18s column. Furthermore, SunArmor C18 shows a better shape for acidic, basic, and metal chelating compounds than the other hybrid C18 because of a few residual silanol groups.

Further Evolution of Surface Treatment

In addition to the conventional Sunniest end-capping, the final end-capping with a newly developed silylating agent, and TMS has realized surprising alkali resistance even though it is silica gel particles.

The usable mobile phase pH range of the C18 stationary phase is from 2 to 12, achieving the same durability as hybrid silica. In addition, it is not affected by residual silanol groups and shows a better peak shape of acidic, basic, and metal-coordinating compounds compared to hybrid C18 of other companies.

Further Evolution of Surface Modification
A combination of the novel end-capping reagent with an ethylene chain and sunniest end-capping leads a silica C18 column to be stable under pH12 conditions, although, Sunniest end-capping leads to stability under pH10 conditions.
