Use of trifunctional silylation reagent
Features of Biphenyl
The two benzene rings of the biphenyl group are twisted about 45 degrees and the biphenyl group exhibits a different separation behavior from the single phenyl group.
Even when an aqueous mobile-phase containing no organic solvent is used, there is no change in retention, and separation with high reproducibility of retention time is achieved.
Increased retention of polar compounds such as caffeine.
Most of the other companies biphenyls use monofunctional silylation reagents, but our biphenyls use trifunctional silylation reagents with high acid resistance.
