Strongly Basic Anion Exchange Resin
A strongly basic anion exchange resin is a type of ion exchange resin that is designed to remove negatively charged ions (anions) from a solution. These resins typically have a high capacity for anions and are often used in water treatment applications to remove impurities such as chloride, nitrate, and sulfate ions. Strongly basic anion exchange resins are typically made from a crosslinked polymer matrix and are typically used in the form of beads. They can be regenerated by washing with a strong base such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to remove the trapped anions and restore the resin’s capacity for further ion exchange.
